About the Role
As a Vocational Coach with Dianthas, you will support apprentices throughout their learning journey, providing high-quality teaching, coaching, mentoring and assessment to help them develop their knowledge, skills and professional practice and successfully achieve their apprenticeship.
You will work collaboratively with learners, employers and colleagues, monitoring progress, identifying barriers to achievement and providing the support and challenge needed to help apprentices progress.
Our Vocational Coaches combine office-based working, visits to learners and employers, face-to-face observations and home working where appropriate.
What You Will Be Doing
- Deliver engaging one-to-one and group learning sessions.
- Coach and mentor apprentices throughout their programme.
- Assess apprentices' knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- Complete progress reviews and maintain accurate learner records.
- Plan learning and set meaningful targets for progress and achievement.
- Provide advice, guidance and ongoing learner support.
- Develop and contribute to high-quality learning resources.
- Support the development of English and maths where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with employers and colleagues to support timely achievement.
- Carry out face-to-face observations and workplace visits where required.
- Embed safeguarding, Prevent, British Values, equality, diversity, inclusion, health, safety and wellbeing throughout the learner journey.
- Contribute to the continued development and quality of Dianthas programmes.
What We Are Looking For
- Relevant occupational experience within Health & Social Care and/or Residential Childcare.
- A relevant Level 3, 4 or 5 qualification.
- An assessor qualification such as A1, D32/33 or CAVA, or willingness to work towards one.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- A professional, supportive and learner-focused approach.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong IT skills, with experience of Microsoft 365 particularly useful.
- Confidence using applications such as Teams, Outlook, Word, OneDrive and SharePoint.
- Ability to travel to learner and employer locations as required.
